Experience Pan-Asian Cultures at the Fiesta Asia Street Fair on July 16th Near 14W Apartments
Celebrate the rich diversity of Washington, D.C. when the Fiesta Asia Street Fair returns to its typical in-person format this month! On Saturday, July 16th the festival will once again take over a portion of Pennsylvania Avenue near our apartments in D.C. with several blocks’ worth of performers and food vendors representing more than 20 cultures from across Asia.
More than 1,000 performing artists are slated to take to the streets for the eight-hour affair, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. They’ll be dancing to international music, singing well-known ballads from across the globe, and showcasing traditional martial arts. Many of them will take part in the multi-cultural parade. In between performances, taste-test your way through an eclectic mix of Pan-Asian bites and check out the shopping bazaar for one-of-a-kind pieces to take home. You’ll also want to explore the interactive activities for kids and the exhibits dedicated to both classic and contemporary Asian crafts. Best of all, this festival is free to attend—just bring some cash if you intend to eat or shop!
