Spend a Winter Day at 14W With a Book From the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library
The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library is finding safe ways to continue to stay open if you’re hoping to discover new authors without venturing far from your apartment in Washington DC. The library is now open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., before closing for a deep clean and reopening from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Make a visit to check out a few books to read during the self-quarantined winter, or take advantage of the library’s popular ongoing programs. January brings sessions of American Sign Language for all levels and new book clubs. It’s also a site for Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) exams if you need to become certified for work or school.
The nearest branch of the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library is located on G Street NW, and also offers book holds, online renewal, and access to digital content. Visit the website for details, or to learn more about the January programs.
